For those not on the WhatsApp group - Paul Hornby, Glen and I are meeting at the Carbeth Inn (or what’s left of it) at 9am in the morning. Plan is to go out the back of the Eden Mill Farm Shop, pick up the gravel tracks and head up to the hills for a couple of hours. Nothing savage, just a chance to get off the main roads while it’s icy - hope to see you all there.

I reckon there are a load of gravel tracks up there now... Soon find out. We have a club member who’s into the mountain rescue anyway, so him and his mates will collect us in the big orange chopper if we get stuck!
Take yer wellies. Billy Britton and I were up to the waste in mud last time we traversed that swamp. Got from Old Kilpatrick to where the Eden Mill is now and then we went from Craigton Village to The Fifely on the way home. Soaking, freezing, manky and sore. Them were the days. When men were men and women did the dishes.
