Hi all - in this year of turmoil, our only legitimate route to an AGM is via Skype, which I propose to hold, as previously advised, this Thursday the 12th November at 20:00.
I have asked the office bearers from 2019 to submit reports to me over the next 24 hours, such that I might have the relevant paperwork out to you by no later that Wednesday, giving you, hopefully, ample time to peruse in advance of the AGM on Thursday.
If anyone has any proposals for rule changes, please get in touch soonest. The deadline for this has technically passed, but it would be worth discussing whether timelines can be mitigated under the current circumstances, depending on the urgency of the suggestion. If you do have any suggestions, please get in touch in the next 24 hours using the mobile number below.
I'll get the Skype meeting details up as a response to this post tomorrow. Meantime, if you have any concerns about your capacity to join the Skype meeting, please get in touch on 07793 970 112 and I'll be very happy to talk you through the process as best I can. Please do this before Thursday, as if I'm inundated on the evening, I won't be able to help everyone.
Please also share this with members who choose not to follow this forum.
With thanks, and with my best regards.
Paul McLafferty.
Hi folks - given the travel restrictions we've had in place over the course of 2020, it has become, as you might imagine, more difficult to pull together the reports from the committee and engage the usual checks and balances that the membership have come to expect.
That being the case, the AGM will now be pushed back by 14 days, to take place on Thursday 26th Nov at 20:00 via Skype.
Please accept my apologies for the late change, and I'll post here with more info as we get closer to the time.
Meantime, this provides a positive opportunity to have any items added to the agenda that you may like to discuss (like when are those yellow plastic tea cups getting replaced) . Please get in touch by no later than 1 week today (18th Nov) should you wish to propose any amendments to the club rules and regs (please note this inclused any proposals to changes to club kit, which needs to align to club constitution standards).
Meantime, please contact me on either ivy@btinternet.com or on 07793970112 with any questions, comments or suggestions.
Best regards.
Paul McL.
Would be great if anyone is joining the meeting on audio only, to ensure they join with their full name so they can be recorded as having attended.
